Steadyrack entstand aus der allgemeinen Frustration des CEO und Gründers David Steadman, der sein Auto nicht in seiner Garage abstellen konnte, weil die Fahrräder verschiedener Familienmitglieder auf dem Boden auf seiner Seite der Garage standen. Kommt Ihnen das bekannt vor?

Wie viele andere Familien war auch der Rest von Davids Familie nicht in der Lage, ihre Fahrräder hochzuheben und sie an die Haken an der Wand zu hängen.

David fragte sich immer wieder: "Es muss doch eine Möglichkeit geben, Fahrräder an die Wand zu hängen, ohne dass man versuchen muss, das Fahrrad an eine Art Haken zu jonglieren?" Innerhalb von zwei Wochen, nachdem er seinen Frust mit seinem Schwiegervater Ron bei einem Familiengrillfest geteilt hatte, tauchte ein sehr grober handgefertigter Ständer auf.

"Es muss doch eine Möglichkeit geben, Fahrräder an die Wand zu hängen, ohne dass man versuchen muss, das Fahrrad an eine Art Haken zu hängen".

Es gab keinen Drehpunkt, eine flache Metallhalterung und keine Hinterradablage, aber der Prototyp war der Beginn von Davids und Rons fünfjähriger Reise mit mehreren selbstgebauten Iterationen, die zu dem jetzt patentierten Steadyrack führte, und der Rest ist, wie man sagt, Geschichte.

Im Jahr 2009 produzierte und verkaufte Steadyrack offiziell seine ersten Gepäckträger. Nick Sima, ein lokaler Fahrradenthusiast, war unser allererster Kunde, der die erste von mittlerweile Hunderttausenden von privaten und öffentlichen Steadyrack-Anlagen installierte.
